Ultimate Lock Support

I cannot unlock my phone! What is going on?

Usually when you cannot get it unlocked, it is because permissions were not set properly. To unlock the screen, slide the slider (or move the trackball up) to unlock, and then press the Back key. Once that is done, please check out the very short Ultimate Lock Installation Guide

My device is taking a long time to boot, or is freezing during boot. What can I do?

Ultimate Lock performs a ton of component registration during startup. We have worked to optimize all other areas of Ultimate Lock, and are now spending time to address the increased boot time.

Ultimate Lock does not launch when I press my lock key!

This is caused by one of two issues. First verify you have set permissions properly by checking out our short Ultimate Lock Installation Guide. If that is set correctly, you may be running into a bug with the newer BlackBerry operating systems. If you have OS 5.0.484 or later, RIM made a change to remove the lock key functionality entirely. Until this issue is addressed by RIM, no lock apps will function properly with the lock key. You can instead use the timeout feature, or tie Ultimate Lock to one of your convienence keys for quick launching.

I did not get my registration key, or it is not working! or My trial is expired and I paid!

We apologize for this issue. Please file a ticket with our helpdesk and we will get back to you as soon as we can!

My battery is draining faster because this app is always running!

After extensive testing, we are 100% confident this app contains no memory leaks or battery issues. If you are using the Show Names feature for SMS and Email, this can cause a significant drain in battery on some devices due to the way BlackBerry implemented the code. If this is an issue for your device, recommend you disable this beta feature.

When I try to enter numbers on the keypad with my Storm, I cannot double press the numbers for entering the same one twice. What is going on?

This is not a bug, this is just the way SurePress works. It acts the same on all similar inputs, such as the dialer pad.

When I press the lock key while Ultimate Lock is active, it unlocks! Is this a security flaw?

No, this feature allows Ultimate Lock to work just like the default lock screen. If you have a password set, pressing the lock key will force the user to enter the key, so your device remains secure. You can also press the Mute key to trigger profile switching!

When I try to start the app, I get the following error: Error starting _______: Class 'net.rim.device.api.ui.Touchevent' not found

This error occurs when you try to open an app meant for touchscreen devices such as the BlackBerry Storm. If you do not have a Storm, you have either downloaded the wrong version, or are trying to run an app not designed for your device.

When I try to start the app, I get the following error: Error starting _______: Class 'net.rim.device.api.ui.decor.BackgroundFactory' not found or 'net.rim.device.api.ui.decor.Background'

This error occurs when you try to run an app designed for BlackBerry OS 4.6 and up on an older device. You have either downloaded the wrong version or are trying to run an app not designed for your device.

How do I update my apps?

If you purchased your apps from Mobihand.com or one of its channels (such as Crackberry.com), go to the My Account page which will show you the My Apps tab. Next to each app is a download link to get the latest version.

If you purchased from App World, simply open up the app, and go to My App World, and then log in. You should see all your apps and be able to download the latest version from there.

I had to reset my phone and lost my apps. How can I get them back?

Please follow the process shown above in the How do I update my apps? section.

When I open the app, a keyboard pops up and won't go away. I also cannot use the touch screen.

This indicates that Compatibility Mode is stuck on for the app. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications and select Call Blocker Pro. Press the BlackBerry button and select Disable Compatibility Mode.

I cannot receive text messages or emails, or my browser is disabled on my phone, how can I install? Do you have a desktop version to install?

At this point, Epic Applications only provides OTA links and JAD/COD downloads. There is no way to install these apps from your desktop.
