Call Blocker Pro Support

Sometimes this app works, but other times it does nothing. What is going on?

This is commonly caused by a bad interaction with other apps. A common app that is incompatible with Call Blocker Pro is Storm Slider. Additionally, some users have had problems getting calls to be blocked when the phone is locked. A setting was added to Call Blocker Pro to allow you to set a delay to use when the phone is locked. If you are having issues getting calls blocked while your device is locked, try increasing this value.

When a call comes in, I get the following error: Application terminated: Call Blocker has been denied the Input Simulation permission.

This error occurs when proper permissions were not set during install. This can be corrected by going to Options > Advanced Options > Applications and highlighting Call Blocker. Then press the Blackberry button and select Permissions. From there, ensure that the Input Simulation is set to Allow, and then press the Blackberry button and select Save.

Ensure that Call Blocker Pro is running

Ensure the app is actually currently running, and that you are not running a trial version which has already expired.

When a call is blocked, sometimes it rings once and/or makes a beeping sound.

Depending on how fast your phone is able to block the call, sometimes a half ring my occur. If you have a lot of applications running or have a low amount of memory this is more likely.

The light beeping sound occurs whenever a missed call happens so that cannot be prevented.

Some of my calls are being blocked when I do not want them to be!

This is generally caused by blocking Not in Contact calls. Therefore, if any number not in your phone book calls, it will be blocked.

Can this app block text messages?

No, this app only blocks phone calls.

When I try to start the app, I get the following error: Error starting _______: Class 'net.rim.device.api.ui.Touchevent' not found

This error occurs when you try to open an app meant for touchscreen devices such as the BlackBerry Storm. If you do not have a Storm, you have either downloaded the wrong version, or are trying to run an app not designed for your device.

When I try to start the app, I get the following error: Error starting _______: Class 'net.rim.device.api.ui.decor.BackgroundFactory' not found or 'net.rim.device.api.ui.decor.Background'

This error occurs when you try to run an app designed for BlackBerry OS 4.6 and up on an older device. You have either downloaded the wrong version or are trying to run an app not designed for your device.

How do I update my apps?

If you purchased your apps from Mobihand.com or one of its channels (such as Crackberry.com), go to the My Account page which will show you the My Apps tab. Next to each app is a download link to get the latest version.

If you purchased from App World, simply open up the app, and go to My App World, and then log in. You should see all your apps and be able to download the latest version from there.

I had to reset my phone and lost my apps. How can I get them back?

Please follow the process shown above in the How do I update my apps? section.

When I open the app, a keyboard pops up and won't go away. I also cannot use the touch screen.

This indicates that Compatibility Mode is stuck on for the app. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications and select Call Blocker Pro. Press the BlackBerry button and select Disable Compatibility Mode.

I cannot receive text messages or emails, or my browser is disabled on my phone, how can I install? Do you have a desktop version to install?

At this point, Epic Applications only provides OTA links and JAD/COD downloads. There is no way to install these apps from your desktop.
